The PROFit® glove range is made from a synthetic leather base, which offers a popular alternative to natural leather. Synthetic leather is washable without affecting shape, fit or comfort.
Synthetic Leather Glove Applications
Synthetic leather gloves excel in extreme conditions. They are light, thin and can dry very quickly. These features make for added comfort and flexibility without compromising necessary qualities like abrasion and tear resistance.
Multilayer construction means that synthetic leather gloves also boast additional protective features over their natural leather counterparts. Other materials and features are incorporated into the design of various models in the PROFit® range to enhance grip, protection and convenience of wear including:
- Neoprene panels to increase the durability of the glove
- Knuckle bars for extra protection
- Extra stitching to improve the longevity of the gloves
- Computer designed panels to maximise comfort
- Velcro fasteners and pull on tabs make for easy donning and doffing
- Fitted and modern styling
Each model in the PROFit® range is designed to enhance their specialist purpose after consultation with workers who use them. If a worker is looking for a model that incorporates anti vibration pads, extra knuckle protection, full or half fingers, magnetic nail holder, extra heavy duty construction or extra air flow panels, they will find what they’re looking for in the PROFit® range.
The Synthetic Leather Glove range is covered by European Standard EN388 - Mechanical Risks.
Mechanical risk is the risk caused by abrasion, blade cut, tear and puncture to the wearer of the glove. Every glove is tested for its resistance against each of these risks and is given a rating for each. The higher the rating the better the performance of the glove against the risk.
The performance ratings are displayed below the Mechanical Risk pictogram. ie 4343. See below pictogram.
Where to below European Standard pictogram is not shown in the product description the glove does not comply with a standard.
AS/NZS 2161:2015 standard has fully adopted European Standards EN388.
